Communication, dissemination, and capacity building
Objectives
WP6 aims to ensure that NAMWISE scientific outputs are visible, accessible, and actionable across stakeholder communities. Its core objective is to maximise the uptake and societal impact of the project results through strategic communication, targeted dissemination, and inclusive capacity-building activities.
By engaging regulators, contract research organisations, academia, industry, and citizens, WP6 fosters a shared understanding of New Approach Methodologies and their relevance to chemical safety assessment. It supports the translation of technical findings into practical knowledge, policy recommendations, and educational resources.

Design and implement a dynamic communication & Dissemination plan that evolves with the project progress
Build and maintain a strong digital presence through the NAMWISE website, social media, and newsletters
Organise webinars, workshops, and outreach events to promote dialogue and knowledge exchange
Coordinate the NAMWISE Partner Forum to consolidate stakeholder feedback and deliver hands-on training
Develop a modular Education Kit to support long-term awareness and integration of NAMs into academic and regulatory practice
Through these activities, WP6 ensures that NAMWISE not only delivers high-quality research, but also empowers stakeholders to apply its results in real-world contexts, contributing to the transition towards safer, sustainable, and animal-free chemical risk assessment.

Key activities
Work Package 6 delivers a coordinated set of activities to ensure that NAMWISE results are effectively communicated, widely disseminated, and translated into lasting capacity-building across stakeholder groups. The work is structured into five core tasks:
Task 6.1 –
Strategic planning:
Establishes the Communication & Dissemination Plan, defines stakeholder-specific messaging, selects outreach channels, and sets performance indicators, ensuring alignment with EU visibility rules.
Task 6.2 –
Communication Tools:
Develops the NAMWISE visual identity, manages the website, social media, and newsletters, and produces a mid-term promotional video to enhance project visibility.
Task 6.3 –
Dissemination & Outreach:
Engages external audiences through webinars, conference participation, science festival materials, and the Partner Forum. Concludes with a White Paper outlining regulatory recommendations.
Task 6.4 –
Education & Awareness:
Targets academia and early-career professionals by mapping toxicology training programmes, creating modular teaching materials, and promoting content via EU Academy and academic networks.
Task 6.5 –
Hands-on Training:
Delivers practical training for CROs and regulators using case studies, video tutorials, and tailored sessions at the Partner Forum, supporting the One Substance One Assessment (OSOA) principle.
